Challenge
This project involved construction of three residential towers, each with 211 modern apartments, in the attractive area of Bratislava’s Nové Mesto. It was a joint venture project between QPG and local developers, Cresco. Local architects were appointed by Cresco to produce a design for this development but it subsequently became evident they were unable to produce a scheme that complied with local building regulations whilst being acceptable to both clients’ needs for maximum return on their investment.
Solution
We introduced specialist design consultants in the form of Solomon Cordwell Buenz Associates, a firm of architects from Chicago with considerable experience in high-rise residential developments. Their inspiring approach resulted in a beautiful and unique three towers design which has become a landmark project in the area.
Outcome
Planning permission was granted for this awe-inspiring scheme which more than satisfied the financial demands of both clients. It is currently experiencing excellent apartment sales and looks set to be a resounding success, both aesthetically and commercially.
